Draft for owner review. This page was written from what the website actually does. Boxes marked “To be confirmed” need facts only Marry Me can supply. Remove this notice once they are filled in and the page has been reviewed.

Who we are

This website is run by Marry Me — The Bridal Jewelry Shop (“Marry Me”, “we”), a jewelry shop in the Philippines. We decide why and how the personal information described below is used, so under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) we are the “personal information controller”.

We do not currently offer a newsletter sign-up on this website. If we add one, it will use its own separate, unticked opt-in that is not a condition of buying or requesting a service.

Our legal basis

Under Section 12 of the Data Privacy Act we rely on: contract (to take, fulfil and support your order or repair, and to respond to requests you make before an order); consent (only for the two optional extras: the Google Maps embed and product interest counts); and legitimate interests (basic fraud and spam prevention, such as hashed IP rate-limiting, and keeping business records), which we balance against your rights. You can withdraw consent to those two optional extras at any time from “Privacy choices” in the footer. The box you tick on the repair form is an acknowledgement that you have read how we use your details for the repair; it is not a consent you can withdraw there — to stop us using or to remove your details, contact us (see “Your rights”).

Who receives your information

The website contains no advertising networks, social-media tracking pixels or third-party analytics services. Links to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Messenger leave this site; those services then apply their own privacy terms.

To be confirmed by Marry Me: any courier or delivery partner, payment or SMS provider, or accountant/bookkeeper that receives customer information, and whether any of them is outside the Philippines.

How long we keep it

We intend to keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for — for example to complete and support your order or repair, handle warranty or complaint questions, and keep the business and tax records the law requires. The website does not currently delete or anonymise anything automatically, so information you submit stays in our systems until it is removed by us, for example when you ask us to (see “Your rights”).

To be confirmed by Marry Me: the specific retention periods for orders, repair requests and photos, payment-proof images, reviews, and product-interest counts.

Information kept on your own device

To make the shop work, your browser stores things like your bag, saved items and your recent order details on your device. They stay there until you delete them or clear your browser’s site data. Details, and how to delete them, are on the Cookies & Storage page. On a shared or public computer, use “Delete data saved on this device” on that page when you finish.

Keeping it safe

Order and repair tracking links use private access codes that are stored only in scrambled form on our side; uploaded repair photos are kept in a protected folder and are viewed only through controlled links; and card details are never collected online. No system is completely secure, so please protect your tracking links and tell us straight away if you think someone else has seen yours.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed about how your data is used; to object to processing and to withdraw consent; to access the personal information we hold about you; to have inaccurate information corrected; to ask for information to be suspended, withdrawn, blocked, removed or destroyed in the circumstances the law provides; to data portability where it applies; and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful use of your data.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details at the top of this page and tell us which order or request it concerns so we can find your information. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the National Privacy Commission (opens a new tab).

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and its “Last updated” date, and ask again for consent where consent is needed.
